Privacy Policy

PawCard lets you create a profile page for your pet and share it with sitters. This page explains what information we handle, and it's written to be actually readable.
What we collect
- Profile information you type in — your pet's details, and any vet or emergency contact information you choose to add. You control every field; all of them except pet name and type are optional.
- A recovery email (optional) — used only to resend your edit link if you lose it. We don't send newsletters or marketing to it.
- Basic technical data — IP addresses are used briefly for rate limiting (abuse prevention), and our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your information with advertisers.
- We don't use tracking cookies.
- We don't contact you except to resend your edit link when you ask.
Who can see a profile
Anyone who has a profile's share link can view it — that's the point of PawCard. Share links are long random codes that aren't listed anywhere public, and we ask search engines not to index profile pages. Only put information on a profile that you're comfortable showing to the people you share the link with.
Your recovery email is never shown on the profile.
Services we rely on
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores profile data.
- Resend — delivers edit-link recovery emails.
How long we keep data, and how to delete it
Your profile is kept until you delete it. You can permanently delete a profile at any time from the bottom of its edit page — deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you've lost your edit link and can't delete your profile yourself, contact us and we'll help.
Your rights
You can view, edit, and delete everything PawCard holds about your pet through your edit link. If you're in a region with data-protection laws (like the GDPR or CCPA), those rights — access, correction, deletion — are all exercisable directly through the product, or by contacting us.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
